It’s definitely a golden moment  for Turin, the capital of the Piedmont region since the beginning of this crackling 2022, and it’s getting so much buzz that we can crown it as the capital of events for this season.

In a significantly more peaceful mood, thanks to a particularly relaxing phase of the Covid-19 pandemic and the desire to recover the streets and activities in the presence of citizens and tourists, Turin has shown great vitality, conquering a prestigious and well-deserved space of visibility, nationally and internationally.

The big events in Turin this spring

The season of major events in Turin in 2022 was inaugurated  by the prestigious world’s most-watched non-sporting event, the Eurovision Song Contest which brought thousands of people to the city to attend the music contest and more: the climate of enthusiasm was perceived by the Parco del Valentino at the Pala Alpitour, passing through the center, where initiatives and events have multiplied that have animated the entire city.

Eurovision and the so-called “Eurovision Off,” the set of more than 250 collateral events in the city, have resulted in, in addition to an extraordinary participation of citizens, an increase of 68% (of which 40 percent foreigners) in addition to an extraordinary participation of citizens, compared to the same period last year. This is an excellent result that gives great impetus to the next major events scheduled.

First of all was the International Book Fair which took place from May 19th to 23rd in the setting of Lingotto Fiere, but not only: also in May session n. 132 of the committee of ministers of the Council of ‘Europe with the foreign ministers of the 46 member states of the Council of Europe who will meet in Venaria under the Italian presidency.

At the end of May it ends with a flourish with the Festival of Economics, from May 31st to June 5th, with international meetings and debates.
